Secure Online Shopping
Secure Online Shopping with The Office Chair Shop
At the office chair shop we take your security very seriously, and as such have taken all necessary steps to ensure your personal details stay safe when shopping with us.
We use Sage Pay as our chosen payment solution provider, as soon as you go to pay on our checkout page you will be sent to our payment pages on the Sage Pay website, which are fully secured with industry-standard 128 bit encryption. When there you should see the padlock symbol appear in the gray bar at the bottom of your browser.
To make sure we are totally secure, even in the extremely rare event of a security breach, we do not hold any of your card details, in fact our site does not even ‘see’ these details as they are handled totally by Sage Pay – this ensures you can always shop with us in total confidence.
Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode
We participate in the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode schemes in order to provide you with enhanced online security. These services are offered jointly by Visa and MasterCard, in association with your bank. Both schemes are aimed at giving the best security whilst purchasing online.
If your credit or debit card is enrolled in the scheme (please contact your bank to find out if you are) then you will be taken to a page hosted by your bank, which will ask you to enter your PIN number, this won’t be shared with us and only you know the number.
If you haven’t yet registered for the scheme you may be asked by your bank if you wish to sign up, at which time you will enter your details and choose a PIN, which you can then use for future transactions with any online shopping site.
If you want to learn more about the scheme, please contact your card issuer directly.
Security of your personal details
So called ‘phishing’ attacks have become more commonplace recently, whereby a fraudster will contact you, stating they are from a reputable company, and will attempt to get you to divulge personal information.
Please note that we may email you from time-to-time, but we will never ask you for any personal details, or direct you to a webpage that asks you for this information.
We advise that you contact us in the event you receive an e-mail from us that you suspect to be fraudulent, do not click on any of the links contained within or show any of the images and forward a copy to us.
